Basketball
Our 10,000 sq. ft. gymnasium is the perfect place for basketball, picklball and volleyball games. The gymnasium's four basketball goals and spacious area for full court volleyball games are the best in the area. Events/Programs held in the gym include Basketball League, Basketball pick-up games, Pickleball, VIA volleyball, VolleyTots, GymRompers, Birthday Parties, Youth Group Exercise Classes, Sports Performance, Personal Training, Tennis clinics on rainy days and many more!
The gym can be rented by approved organizations during non-peak hours by calling the Event Coordinator at 985-792-0247. There is a 30-minute time limit to play if others are waiting. The gym is available to members on a first come, first served basis.
BASKETBALL LEAGUE
2010 Fall Basketball League
This 12-week league meets Monday nights between 5pm and 10pm.
Franco's members-only basketball league offers an OPEN division only.
League plays Monday nights:
September 13th - December 13th
No game Thanksgiving Week
Games held Monday, Sept. 13, 20, 27, Oct. 4, 11, 18, Nov. 1, 8, 15, 29, Playoffs are Dec. 6th and the Championship Game is Dec. 13th
Cost is $50/member. Team captains must submit their team roster at least one week in advance.

Racquetball Courts
We have two racquetball courts for your enjoyment. Racquets, racquetballs and eyewear are available at Member Services if needed. Feel free to join us on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6pm until close for a Round Robin. We welcome players of all levels.

VolleyTots is a volleyball program for ages 4 - 9. VolleyTots is Tuesday and Thursday from 4- 5pm beginning October 13th, 2009. Ages 4 - 6 are on Tuesdays, ages 7 - 9 are on Thursdays |
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
VolleyTots is a youth-specific training program that emphasizes motor learning and development through various volleyball skills. Developed by senior members of the Junior Volleyball Directors Association (JVDA) , along with sports psychologists and exercise physiologists who specialize in working with young athletes, VolleyTots is designed to promote exercise, coordination, and basic athletic skills by using a variety of balls and movements.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
The objectives of Louisiana VolleyTots are two-fold:
1. to teach age-suitable, sound exercise & fitness techniques to youth ages 4-9 utilizing the sport of volleyball
2. to grow the base of athletes participating in the sport
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
Each session is approximately 1 hour, 15 minutes in length. Program length is 5-6 weeks. The sessions alternate between volleyball drills and alternate activities. Drills are designed to increase foot speed, improve agility, develop eye-hand coordination, increase strength, improve posture, reduce fear, help with social development, improve endurance and establish discipline, as well as develop some specific volleyball techniques.
