MARCH NEWSLETTER!
TIME FOR MARCH MADNESS EVERYONE!
March is upon us and that means SPRING HAS TO BE HERE SOON!
Don't forget this Friday and Saturday, March 5th and 6th, we will have our Auburn University, Montgomery(AUM) Tennis clinic and matches. Friday starting at 1pm AUM will play an Intersquad match including John and Therina. Then at 5pm AUM will take on XAVIER's men's team and the ladies will do intersquad workout. Saturday we will have an adult clinic and pro amwith all the clinic participants playing with AUM players. This is from 8:30 to 11:30 followed by lunch catered by Franco's Grille. Then the kids clinic for ages 7 and up will be from 1 to 3pm. Still time to call the tennis desk and reserve your spot. We are very excited to have Coach Scott Kidd here, 7 time NAIA National Champion Coach, come with his players and do our clinic for us.
Spring Break Tennis Camp is March 29th thru April 1st. All Champions and Jr Academy will play from 12 - 2pm, and Aces and Jr Aces will play from 2 - 3pm Monday thru Thursday! Do any or all days. You can use your rainout days for this camp.
ANNUAL CRAWFISH TENNIS MIXER!
Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 17th from 6 - 9pm for our Annual Crawfish Mixer. Come out and play all the tennis you want, then eat all the crawfish you can eat, along with the fixins! Sign up starting next week at the tennis desk!
The Charity Tournament scheduled for March 12 - 14 has been MOVED! The Franco's Spring Swing Charity Tennis Tournament will now be MAY 6TH - 8TH, which is Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We will start play Thursday night, so we can be finished by Saturday pm so that you can have ALL day Sunday to celebrate Mother's Day! Entry forms will be up on the website soon and hard copies will be available. It is mens and ladies Doubles, levels 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and OPEN.
Now that the weather has turned for the better it is time for the Challenge Ladder to get cranked up! Whoever plays the most challenge matches during the month of March will receive a special award! So get CHALLENGING!
NEW RACQUETS IN THE SHOP! We have all of the new Wilson BLX demo racquets ready for your inspection. NO COST to try them out, the response so far has been very impressive to the new frames.
I want to welcome Melanie Fanz and Mary Zuppardo to the Tennis Desk. They are excellent and are familiar faces to the club. WELCOME LADIES!
