Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday's to everyone!!!
Hope everyone has had a great start to the new year. 2012 is going to be AWESOME!!!!
First item of business is that because of the Saints glorious playoff run, we had to move our ANNUAL CHILI COOKOFF TENNIS MIXER from this weekend until Sat FEB 11. So mark your calendars now for our chili competition and cookoff. You can bring your favorite chili for everyone to sample and then we vote on the best chili with the winner getting a trophy as the Franco’s Chili Champion for 2012!!! We provide beverages and all the things that go well with chili. It is always a great event.
Also we are going to set the Club Singles Championships for March 1-4. That is going to be the best time for this first time event to play. We are doing it over a longer span of days to make scheduling more convenient for all the members. I will put up new sign up sheets in FEB.
The weekend of Jan 20-22 we have the Annual Franco’s State Closed Winter Warm up Junior Tournament. It is the largest USTA junior tournament in the area with kids coming from all over the state to play. Come out and watch! Play starts that Fri night and goes thru Sun afternoon.
USTA Men’s and Ladies’ leagues and Northlake are all getting started! Lots of action on the courts. Because of this, be sure to schedule your courts for open play in advance to reserve a spot.
All new Junior and Adult clinics are going strong. Always something for you to play or get involved in!
Mardi Gras tennis camps for juniors are happening the week of Feb 20-24 just to mark on your calendars.
New Racquets from PRINCE are arriving next week! We have demos in all the models so come and try one out. Some really nice frames that have been well received so far.
