COACH ROBBY'S NOTES:

Saturday: Warm up - 9:30-10:15AM, Meet Begins - 11:00AM
Sunday: Warm up - 8:30-9:15AM, Meet Begins - 9:30AM
2.) Casino Night Fundraiser Update:
The Fins Booster Club Board voted to re-schedule Casino Night to correspond with Franco's end of the summer party/movie night on August 1st. We feel that by doing this we have a better chance to encourage Franco's members to participate in this fundraising event.
I can't stress enough the importance of each swim team family's participation to make this event a success. We chose to hold 2 major fundraisers this year instead of the many smaller fundraisers we held last year in order to minimize the impact on each family's time and effort to raise funds for the team. Last year our fundraising efforts totaled just over $9000.00. This year, excluding the sponsors we were able to obtain for Casino Night, we have not quite reached $3500.00. The funds we are trying to raise go toward coaches' travel, team t-shirts, team caps, and social events for our swimmers.
The Board is working on several options in the event Casino Night is not the success we hope, including but not limited to increased Booster Club fees, Travel Surcharges, a Volunteer points system, and having parents purchase the t-shirts and caps. It is my sincere hope that none of these measures will be necessary because Casino Night will be a huge success.
We have been able to lower the ticket price to $30 per ticket due to a donation of the Casino Equipment. It is now up to all members of the swim team to do their part by selling tickets and participating in the event to ensure the profitability of this fundraiser.

3.) My USA Swimming. Every swimmer should start an account on the USA Swimming website. There the swimmer can check their times and their progress throughout the season. Log onto www.usaswimming.org and create an account.
Important Announcements
1) Casino Night:
Keep talking to friends and family about our fund raiser. Remember it is now on Aug. 1st and the tickets are $30.00 each. To make this event a success, we are counting on each Fin Family to sell 4 tickets.
2) Escrow Accounts - Please update your escrow accounts.
3) Long Course State Meet:
State Meet reservations should be finalized. Some swimmers are needed for relays even if they do not have a State Time. Please see the coaches to make sure your swimmer is not needed for a relay.
Team Dinner - Instead of the traditional FINS' pasta dinner during State Meet, we plan to have dinner at Swim La on Saturday Night. They are offering a boxed dinner of spaghetti & meatballs, g-bread and salad. The estimated price is $5.00 each. You need to make a reservation at the meet by finals Friday night. If you will not arrive until Saturday and plan to attend the pasta dinner, let me know and I will make reservations for you. Robby is trying to get permission for the Licciardi's to park their RV close to the pool. If that works out, the team can meet there to have dinner. Call or e-mail Ellen Loop if you have questions.
4) Mandatory Booster Club Meeting - the date is being moved back since some families plan to go out of town the week after State Meet. The date will posted next week.
5) REMINDER: Swim meet entries are due about 1 week before a meet. Coach Robby sends them in up to a week ahead of time to ensure our spot in the meet before it fills up. It is very important that you notify him of any confilicts via e-mail before the entries are sent. It is difficult to take swimmers out of a meet once they are entered and your escrow account will be charged if a swimmer is entered in a meet unless Coach Robby was notified via email PRIOR to the entry deadline

6) ESCROW ACCOUNTS- Joni will be making a print out of each swimmer's escrow account after each swim meet. They will be in the booster club file box in the office in alphabetical order. Please contact Joni for any questions regarding your account.
