"Food was great. Entertainment was great - and varied. Hosts and hostesses were plentiful, helpful and friendly, especially Sandy's three beautiful sisters. Amazing job to have the club open and ready at 6:45AM Saturday! Congratulations on a wonderful celebration, and thanks."

NEW YEARS DAY
Tuesday, January 1, 2008 at 11am

The 6th running of the Ice Man Dip & Dash survival trek will be held on New Years Day 2008. This is not a race but a challenging survival event. Only 41 have finished this 4 mile run and approximately 70 yard "ice" swim (the temperature of the water this year was 62 degrees). Donations were accepted for the Donnie Jarrell Fund. This year's event registration begins Monday, November 26th and the fee is $30 including lunch. If you are interested in donating to this fund please call us at 792-0200.

History of event: In 1988 a small group of athletes embarked on a New Years Day run only to be thwarted by the Madisonville bridge mechanical malfunction. Frustration and a cold northern wind forced a call to action. The group swam the Tchefuncte River, fighting hypothermia and refusing to be impreded by any obstacle, even 49 degrees water. Hence, the Ice Man Dip & Dash was born. Today this event has an even deeper meaning and purpose. In memory of one of the original participants, Donnie Jarrell, all proceeds will be contributed in his memory to the Donnie Jarrell Fund.

Adventure Racing Camp
Summer 2007

Picture Gallery for July 9-13, 2007

For Kids ages 10-14

Adventure Campers prepared for and then actually completed an Adventure Race in Fontainebleau State Park! During this week-long camp, they learned the fundamentals of participating in an adventure race, with emphasis on fitness, teamwork, fun and safety. Athletes mountain biked, ran, canoed, rock-climbed, swam, and participated in mystery events designed to enhance teamwork and problem-solving skills.
